All In My Mind Honorable Mention

My song "ALL IN MY MIND" All In My Mind has won honorable mention in the 2006 Billboard World Songwriting Contest.

I was really happy about this as you can all imagine.

My song "Can't You See The Lonely?" "Can't You See The Lonely?" won the Billboard Honorable mention award back in 2004.

I Know A Guy Who Has A Guitar Like Clapton

I've just finished reading a great book called "Clapton's Guitar".
It was written by Allen St. John.
http://www.allenstjohn.com It's about a great guitar player and guitar maker. His name is Wayne Henderson.

The book is an amazing read, and if you love guitars you simply MUST read this book. Mr. St. John is a masterful writer with a stake in what he is writing about that makes this book a pure joy to read.

Wayne Henderson's guitars are sought after by people like Clapton because the instruments made by Mr. Henderson are works of musical art. There is also a 10 year wait!! The first chapter tells the story of the author almost getting a Henderson but fate wasn't with him. The guitar went to a guy I know who played Banjo on my CD. A great musician and songwriter named Bob Wright.

He played Banjo on two of my songs:

"Don't Learn War"
Don't Learn War

and

"Who Took My Freedom Away?"
Who Took My Freedom Away?

Talk about 6 degrees of separation!! I was totally floored when I read the story about how Bob got the guitar in the first chapter!! (I gotta get in touch him. Maybe he'll let me try the guitar out!

I'm fairly certain Clapton got the guitar, just haven't heard what his reaction was. As soon as I find out I'll let you know. Mr. St. John is STILL waiting for his. I'm trying to figure out how to get one myself!! I am certain it will be worth the wait!

Got to Wayne Henderson's Web site:
